CHAKUTH

Chakuth is a musical duo formed in 2019 by Wake Up Sleep and Lily Kashūnattsu on the outskirts of Sintra, Portugal.

The artists got together through their passion for arts in general and music was the way they had naturally felt connected. From here, they started by experimenting different approaches which took their music to acquire an unique and fresh identity, since they spontaneously seek diversity in their compositions, their sound turned out to become a reflection of their individuality revealing an experimentalist character and alternative taste that distinguish their style from others.

In the mid 2019, Chakuth announced the release of their debut EP ‘Aroma’ where they seem to be focusing and channeling their previous experiences to be now compiled on a 7 track project. ‘Aroma’, as the title indicates, represents a flavour of several languages and artistic expressions which resulted from a widely free state of music creation, they didn’t actually knew what would come out of their experiences, so this EP can be translated as the search for an abstract fragrance of a sound present in the ‘air’ as catching it being the goal, a process which ends up transforming ideas into quite creative results, an experiment that has originated this “aromatic” vibe and certainly a very stimulating way to do it when it comes to the senses.

Still, by the end of 2019 Chakuth releases ‘Com Motivos’ and ‘Sincerity’, two single tracks which keep continuously reinforcing an undefined path for creative freedom, ‘Fallin’ releases in March 2020 as being mostly predominant and desirable to the listener’s taste.
