As many of you may know him, Oseias stands out for his iconic swing and unique grooves, known for naturally speaking through beats using the language of jazz, the artist presents 'seis!', an instrumental compilation of bumpy and unpredictable loops filled with soul.

Oseias is mostly inspired by his surroundings and relationships with friends and family that end up being a big influence on his music, ‘seis!’ is mainly a reflection of a mind state at the time he was creating it and a result from the world’s events, that and knxwledge.
Deep down, this 9 track project is a beat collection, as well as ‘cinco’ (predecessor), where he sort of wanted to unfold the vibes he has been into and reveal the path he’s going as a beatmaker, after two years without releasing anything ‘major’ oseias highlights that he has been strongly focused on making music, plus, he felt his production style has slightly changed, so the will to share some of his creations arise to show his listeners where he’s actually have been and for everyone get used to without being taken by surprise when he starts to release wider projects. The title ‘cinco’ emerged when he turned 2+3 and released the tape last year on his birthday month (January), then ‘seis!’ when he turned 24.

QUICK QUESTIONS

Was everything produced with the SP? What kind of software did you use to design this project?

I always use FL Studio, I’ve already started making beats on the SP555 but it still doesn’t sound as I want, so I passed the tracks to the SP and added some elements but nothing too much yet.

How do you characterize your production style?

Complicated question. I would say that, despite feeling that my strength is the swing/groove, the important thing is the melody and how it touches you. I usually sample love songs because there is always that energy behind that I can't quite understand but I love it, just like I love half mixes and distortion, so if I had to put my production style in a box I would say something like ‘lofi rafeiro sentimental’ hahaha.

Curiosities about ‘seis!’?

I didn't make any of these beats at home, I used a sweepstakes website to choose the order of the songs, the beats that are on ‘seis!’ were made between 3 or 4 different computers and it was mixed with the SP 555 at rkeat's house.
